Joseph has held multiple executive positions as CFO and Senior Vice President of Corporate Services in large insurance/estate planning organizations and technology start-up companies.  He has also worked as a consultant in large accounting and has been a practicing accountant for over twenty years and a CPA for over eighteen years.

In Joe’s roles as CFO/SVP he was responsible for overseeing accounting, human resources, payroll, recruiting, and information technology as well as contract review.  Joe performed operational reviews and streamlined operations resulting in significant savings for the companies he joined.  While reviewing the records of a large insurance organization, Joe determined the prior CFO had embezzled one million seven hundred thousand dollars.  He also performed detailed contract reviews for his companies.

As a consultant, Joe worked with many companies from clothing manufacturers to large defense contractors.  Joe represented the clients with the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor.   He performed operational reviews of the clients’ ERISA plans and their associated plan documents.  When needed, he assisted the clients in correcting deficiencies in the operations of their ERISA plans.

While working in big accounting, Joe coordinated the expatriate tax programs (including the payroll and human resource functions) for numerous companies.  He supervised human resource personnel responsible for applying tax/human resource policies for expatriates in twenty-five different companies.

Joe’s experience also included nine years in the United States Navy.
